Ford Fellowships Applicants should be Indian Nationals and hold a bachelor's or Master's  degree from a  recognized Indian University with at least 55 percent marks.  Candidate applying for Ph.D programmes should have completed master's degree with at least 60% marks, and should have at least two year's full-time work experience relevant to their proposed area of study. Support is provided up to three years of formal graduate level study leading to master's or doctoral degree.  Once selected, Fellows may enroll in an appropriate university programmes anywhere in the world, including their country of residence.  Fellowship covers financial assistance for travel, living expenses, tuition and related costs for the actual degree programmes, short-term pre-fellowship training, including language study and courses in research and computer skills. 7. Commenweath Scholarships  for UK Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification, with a second class honours or above, securing 55 per cent or above marks in the humanities and social science group, and 60 per cent and  above marks in medical, engineering  and technology, science and agriculture groups are eligible.

For Ph.D degree: Master's degree , the requirement  is 55% and above marks in humanities and social science group and 60% and above marks in engineering and technology, science and agriculture groups. 

Value for award includes approved tutition and examination fees, a personal maintenance allowance payable monthly, to and fro airfare, a grant for expenses of approval travel within the U.K. and an initial arrival allowance, incorporating a clothing grant for scholars from tropical countries.

For married scholars selected by the commission for awards exceeding 12 months,  a marriage allowance per month payable provided that the husband and wife are residing together at the same address in the U.K.

Assistance for one year master's degree , six month's clinical training / research / specialization, and three year's Ph.D course.  Master's degree may be in areas such as engineering, technology, science ( pure or applied) , agriculture, humanities and social sciences.

8. SIA Youth Scholarships Indian Nationals 16 plus - 18 plus years old, with at least an average of 85% with English as first language in class X.  Allowance of $2,400 per annum with hostel accommodation, $200 settling-in allowance (one-time), air passage to Singapore and back,  Waiver of school fees (one time) and GCE 'A' Level examination fees (one time), subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover.  There is no bond attached to the sholarship.

9. HINDU HITACHI Scholarships Indian Citizens below 30 years.  Should Posses BE / B.Tech or equivalent degree from any recognised University and at least one year's professional experience.  There will be preference for those with practical experience in the branch for which training will be impaired. The scholarships are tenable in Japan in principally for six months.  Trainees may have general training in one of the following product fields of Hitachi: information and telecommunication system, power and industrial system, and Digital media products.  Training will not be available in the research and development activities of Hitachi. 

Assistance: To and fro air fare, free boarding and lodging in Japan and all expense for traveling in Japan which may be considered necessary for the training and a monthly fixed allowance to cover personal expenses.

10. J.N. Tata Endowment Scholarships Graduates with consistently good academic record ( students in the final year of a degree course and those awaiting results can also apply ) .  Academics and other mid-career professionals with experience in their field, going abroad for further training / specialization are eligible.

Students should have applied for admission in universities for the next fall / spring semesters.  Students awaiting admissions can also apply.

Mahindra Scholarships Applicants must possess a first-class degree or an equivalent diploma of the same standard from a recognized Indian University and must have secured admission or have applied for admission in reputable foreign universities.  Candidates studying in the final year can also apply.

Government or quasi-government officers with a creditable academic record, going abroad for specialized qualifications are also eligible.

K.C. Mahendra Education Trust offers interest-free loan scholarships to Indian National for postgraduate studies abroad in various fields such as engineering, natural sciences, humanities, medicine and business management, including the study of military, naval and aviation sciences. 

The maximum amount of scholarships payable to any scholar is Rs.95,000/-.

12. Inlaks Scholarships Resident Indian citizens below 30 years of age, with a good university degree. It is essential to have prior admission to a top ranking institution and course chosen. Scholarships for up to two years in top American, European and U.K. institutions for degrees in all subjects, except engineering, computer science, management, English literature, Indian History, urban design and Philosophy.

Scholarships for specific programmes proposed by the candidate for research, training or professional improvement to be carried out abroad either independently, or attached to a leading institution.
